La Vue Boutique Inn is a family-owned and operated Caribbean resort that has been welcoming guests to Anguilla since 2009. Located in Backstreet South Hill, the inn was founded on a simple vision: to create a welcoming place where visitors could experience the beauty, culture, and warmth of Anguilla while enjoying the comfort and familiarity of a true home away from home.
The name La Vue, meaning "The View" in French, was inspired by the property's hillside setting and the beautiful scenery that first inspired the creation of the inn. More than simply a reference to the landscape, the name reflects an appreciation for the beauty of Anguilla and the relaxed pace of island life. From the very beginning, La Vue Boutique Inn was envisioned as a place where guests could slow down, feel at ease, and experience the island in a genuine and personal way.
Our Story
The story of La Vue Boutique Inn began long before the first guest arrived. What is now a 27-room boutique inn once stood as a small family home, where the late Mr. Kirk Hughes, his wife, Mrs. Joylynn Hughes, and their daughters once lived. Over time, that small home grew into something much larger—not only in size, but in purpose.
Inspired by their love of travel, Mr. and Mrs. Hughes recognized that many of the hotels they stayed in lacked the comfort and convenience that only a home can provide. Wanting to create a different experience, they envisioned a place where visitors could enjoy spacious, fully equipped accommodations and feel truly at home during their stay. La Vue Boutique Inn was founded with the vision of providing our guests with a comfortable and memorable island stay.
For nearly two decades, the doors of La Vue Boutique Inn have been opened to guests from around the world, inviting them to share not only our space but also the island, culture, and hospitality that make Anguilla so special. While La Vue Boutique Inn has grown from a small family home to a 27-room boutique inn, it continues to be guided by the values on which it was built. The property may have expanded, but the foundation remains the same—family, connection, and making every guest feel welcomed.
Today, that vision continues under the ownership and management of Mr. Kirk’s wife, Mrs. Joylynn Hughes, who remains dedicated to preserving the values on which La Vue Boutique Inn was founded.
